Jen Schroeder

“I consider myself a holistic practitioner who works from a primarily relational, attachment-based stance that integrates awareness of mind, body, spirit, and connection to others.”

I work with individuals across the lifespan, couples, and groups, however, my specialties are working with women and health care/mental health professionals. My ideal clients are interested in deeper, longer-term work, and are open to emotional exploration and mind-body approaches. My areas of specialization include complex issues related to trauma, abuse or neglect, grief, loss, separation, life transition, relationship difficulties/couples, dissociation, emotional regulation, sexuality, post-menopausal sexuality, eating disorders, body image concerns, and fertility issues. I also have significant experience working with cancer survivors and their families as well as in the area of relational violence.

I consider myself a holistic practitioner who works from a primarily relational, attachment-based stance that integrates awareness of mind, body, spirit, and connection to others. I use many techniques including Internal Family Systems, yoga, meditation, and hypnosis to facilitate emotional and bodily awareness, mindfulness, interconnection, and healing. I am a level 2 IFS practitioner, IFS certified and have completed training as a yoga therapist.   I am also trained in hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis

Jen is not currently taking any clients for a more traditional therapy approach and has found that the constraints of an hour session make it difficult to gain traction in the deeper IFS work. Because of this, she shifted to working in more intensive and coaching oriented ways that involve longer sessions with less frequency. She typically guides clients through a fairly extensive intake process to get a good sense of the core dynamics at play and then uses that information to focus and guide the work. This service is paid out of pocket and does not use insurance.

She continues to supervise and support our clinical team around IFS and other intuitive, body based practices. We have a number of talented therapists with immediate availability. Search “immediate availability” on our therapist page to get started on your healing journey right away, or reach out to ask to be added to Jen’s wait list.
