Puberty can make a girl's body seem unfamiliar—nothing feels, looks, or even smells the same. It can be overwhelming, but this workshop makes it manageable.
Designed for girls ages 10 and up (children who will menstruate) who have started puberty, this class focuses on the practical side of body changes: how to care for yourself with confidence as your body grows.
Attend as a child-adult pair to learn together and make these conversations easier to continue at home. Whether you're a parent, guardian, or trusted grown-up, being there together helps normalize what can feel awkward or confusing.
You'll cover the essentials: bras, body odor, body hair, skin care, and overall body wellness. We'll dive into periods and period care with a hands-on activity using pads and tampons, so girls can practice and ask questions in a supportive environment. We'll also include age-appropriate conversations about gender identity and expression, because understanding ourselves includes understanding the many ways people experience and express gender. Throughout, we'll talk about confidence, self-respect, and taking good care of yourself.
Body Basics for Girls is recommended (but not required) before taking this class.
This is a judgment-free space where practical questions get real answers—helping girls feel capable and confident in their changing bodies.
